Summer is a'comin

And hopefully that means that I will be able to post more often now!

This week I re approached an old Illustration and gave it a little of an update.
I decided to go from this

To this

She got younger! I'm trying to work on a border but to be honest, I don't think I'm very good with them so for right now at least, this is how she is going to stay.

Last weekend I finally got a chance to see "How to Train your Dragon." I really enjoyed it. A friend of mine suggested I illustrate some of the characters.

Next - I'm working on two illustrations about a girl who goes to summer camp for the first time. (Color studies below)

What about Rainetown? Well, I decided that I should work on creating pieces that would help get work in the Children's book Industry and so I need more images of kids and in a variety of situations. Rainetown is not dead, just put on the shelf temporarily.

You have been busy on your blog (as I have I)! Love the drawings. Even the colors you used remind me of childhood (and Jeanne d'Arc, surprisingly, looks better younger).

I guess I should just succumb to the idea that she is Jeanne d'Arc since you and my friend James keep calling her that!!!
