This was supposed to be a stormy picture for Illustration Friday, but it turned into this. I think the fact that "Cars," was on TV this weekend is to blame. It's not my favorite Pixar movie, but it is BEAUTIFULLY lit, and the backgrounds ARE GORGEOUS in the film. Also I was reading a book in which someone mentions painter Thomas Moran, so that is why I think this picture was born.
