I have mixed feelings about printing.
The actual moment you take your paper off the print block- it's magic or heartbreak.
Magic when the image comes together and you are seeing it for the first time ( Can't help dancing at this moment. I teach Middle School and I even dance during printing days when the kids prints come out and they look awesome!)
Heartbreak when things aren't working out!
Below are the 3 blocks I carved for the colors:

All in all, I am happy with the results. I learned a lot about the process used by traditional Japanese printers and I admire the sense of tradition and ceremony that is involved in a lot of Japanese arts.

You did a great job. I have been wanting to try this since my sister sent me a woodblock print she made in art school, years ago. The effect of the layered inks is so attractive. I can imagine trying to line up the blocks each time could get frustrating. But I really like the effect when the colors are offset too. Anyway, this is awesome, thanks for sharing!
