Pet's From History: Diva the Skylark

I'm doing a small series on "Pets from History"

A) To the delight of John Quincy Adams, Marquis de Lafayette's pet alligator spent some time in the East Room bathtub in the White House B) Mozart had a pet Skylark which may have inspired an aria or two. C) "Fortune," Josephine Bonaparte’s beloved pug.

Here is a finished painting of "Diva," Mozart's pet Skylark (I give her that name)

She is singing the "Queen of the Night Aria," from The Magic Flute. (In case you were wondering)
Here is a clip of my favorite "diva," singing the QOTN Aria: Diana Damrau

Here is a portait of Diana I did in the role a few months back:

Good Night!
